I guess it's the right time to do this. For weeks I've tried thinking of something to write. It needed to be something...well, special. Something worthy to be the first post in my blog. I am going to try to maintain this blog after all. Then I thought, why stress myself thinking of a formal blog post when I can just write whatever the hell I want?
Whoa. I just used "hell". That's a start.
Anyway, I won't be using those kinds of words too much. I don't want my blog posts to look like it's been written by an illiterate, though the occasional ranting posts may contain a few of them. I'm aiming to write "casual-yet-classy" posts, meaning my posts are as laid back as I am, yet insightful and journalistic (hehe). I wasn't accepted in the Ateneo's one year Advanced English course and only to be a hobo writer as a result. If there's one thing I learned from a year of reading five journals a week and submitting two four page minimum papers every few days or so, it's that this kind of writing style suits me. Kudos to the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for introducing me to this style of writing! Admittedly, I am not that familiar with using deep words that, in today's times, are synonymous to the literally gifted. But if there's proof that my style of writing is (almost) as good as those who are at a level above me, it's that my grades from papers are the same with my Palanca Awardee classmate. I'll take that as an achievement.
I was supposed to return to my first blog account in Tumblr, but no matter what I do, the spams just keep filling up my profile. I decided against deleting my old account for sentimental purposes, and also making a new one. "morningsandairports" is the only name I'll use, thank you. Damn I love that name. If you've been following me on Tumblr, then there's a good chance you know why that's the name I've chosen. If not, then I might just make a post about it again soon enough. Follow this blog and I assure you, you'll know me as good as anyone.
Alright then! Let me take you on a tour of my blog! The mesmerizing photo I have as my header is obviously a pitch of my blog's name. Then on the right side are some mini features, including my pick as song of the week and of course, chick of the week. Oh Alyson Hannigan. What a fine woman. She's always been a cutie since the first American Pie movie, but as the years passed, she became even MORE beautiful. At 38 years of age, she's still a stunner. Definitely one of my celebrity crushes, and deserving of my first chick of the week feature! Oh, and The Script is an obvious choice for song of the week. It's The Script. I mean, really. What more can I say? Personally, For The First Time is my absolute favorite. It's at a tie with The Man Who Can't Be Moved for the band's best song, though. More on that soon.
Is this post worthy as my first one? Nah. Not really. I'm still lacking the inspiration to write a "true" blog. For now, I would leave you, my dear followers, with this. Expect at least two blog posts per week, and again, welcome to my blog!
